About the Brewery

Five Dimes Brewery is a community-focused craft brewery whose original Westwood taproom at 247 Westwood Avenue occupies the former home of the L.N. Grand 5 & 10 Cent Store, a local fixture run by three generations of the same family from 1960 until 2019 [1]. Founder Chris Alepa, a longtime homebrewer, took over the space with the aim of keeping it a neighborhood gathering spot, and opened a second brewery on Monmouth Street in Red Bank in 2024 [1]. A third location in Point Pleasant Beach is planned [2]. The Westwood brewery advertises live music, private events and ADA access throughout its spaces. 21+ after 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Accessibility is operator-reported. [3]
